  • How do I use the transit service?

    Whether you are wanting to go to work, school, shopping, an appointment, or out for pleasure, T3 Transit can help you get there!

    We use a color coded system along with a numbering system for easier use with the schedules. Schedules have all departing and arriving times at many locations along all routes. The route of the bus follows left to right for times and locations. For more information on the schedules please see the Schedule section of this website.

    T3 Transit operates Monday to Saturday throughout the Charlottetown area and offers reduced service on Sunday. T3 Transit also travels to Cornwall and Stratford locations from Monday to Friday.

  • How much does it cost to take the bus?

    Single trip fares are $2.25. Please have exact change, our drivers cannot make change. Frequent users can save money by purchasing monthly passes or books of tickets. Please see our Fares and Passes page for pricing and how to purchase.

  • Am I able to take more than one bus to get to my destination as part of my fare?

    Transfers allow all passengers to complete a one-way trip without paying an additional fare and can be used on Charlottetown, Stratford, and Cornwall buses. Transfer slips are only issued when and where you pay the fare and the passenger is required to request a transfer slip from the driver. Passholders who require a transfer to another bus need to request a transfer slip also when they present their pass to the Bus Operator. This will help to make your transfer smooth and convenient. Transfers are used for the next available bus but not for stop-overs. Transfers are the passenger’s responsibility and no other transfer will be issued.Please request a transfer slip from the bus driver upon boarding.

  • Where can I get on the bus at?

    In addition to the stops listed on our schedule, for passenger convenience, all “Stop Signs” and posted “Bus Signs” along the designated route are considered additional flag stops.

  • Do you operate in the evenings or on the weekends?

    Yes, we have routes and services for Charlottetown on evening hours and weekends. However, it is not our full schedule so please check our Schedule Page to get specific details of when you are looking to travel. Service for Stratford runs Monday to Friday, from 6:39 AM to 6:15 PM. Service for Cornwall runs Monday to Friday, from 6:45 AM to 6:05 PM.

  • Do you operate on holidays?

    Depending on the holiday, we may be operating, or operate on a limited schedule. Please check our website closer to any holidays for service updates to be certain you are aware of the service that is being offered that day.

    Service is not provided on the following holidays:

    • New Years Day
    • Islander Day
    • Good Friday
    • Easter Sunday
    • Labour Day
    • Thanksgiving Day
    • Remembrance Day
    • Christmas Day
    • Boxing Day
  • Is there a place I can park my car and then take the bus?

    There is a “Park and Ride” area located across from the Charlottetown Event Grounds. This location is managed by Charlottetown Area Development Corporation. For more information please see their site: Park and Ride CADC.

    In Stratford, monthly transit pass holders can apply for one of ten spaces, six at the Stratford library and four at Stratford Town Hall. To apply for these spaces please contact the Town of Stratford.
